It is easy to observe that articles are everywhere, as snippets; almost everywhere that some writing can be placed. A solitary word, a topic, can be explained and made to expand into a lexicon of words to elaborate on that one starting thought that it becomes a complete article. They can be short or long, and the Internet is filled with these. I would be inclined to believe that the Net runs on articles. The main resting place of many articles would have to be marketing journals and article directories. While articles might be more numerous, there are other kinds of content, like photographs and videos and software like word processors, and such.
Articles attract people and search engines. Which is to aver that they are mainly written with this kind of audience in mind. The idea that articles are written for people goes without saying. What is not so obvious is the reason for writing articles for search engines which is another exposition altogether. Articles are mainly written by people but they may also be written or written by people and re-written by a machine. Content spinners they call them. A picture may paint a thousand words, We still need words to describe it. A website would have a number of articles in it. Nothing deep or pretentious today

I could go and ponder the deep questions but this is kinda boring and I don't want to bore myself with questions that obviously cannot be answered by anyone least of all me. I was in Cagayan de Oro City last year and now I am back in this wonderful city and a lot of things have changed, most of all my picture of myself and what I should be. I am now planting things, bananas mostly but I could plant sweet corn if I get the go ahead for that project.

Cagayan de Oro City remains as always, a beguiling aspect of my life. Why this is so is completely beyond me. I have been washed up here and no one sees me as nothing more than an unwashed washed up derelict. I swim the tides of an ever glowing universe which has not given me any indication that it wants me dead. There must be something more that I need to do. Does that matter at all? I cannot see how it could be important but the universe decides and not me.

Making money

Many people desire to make money online and I am no exception. I feel though a little jaded and don't really take anything about making money without a grain of salt. It's just that the many ways they say could make you money really takes too much effort and I find it tedious to be clicking on sites that keep on rotating like a merry-go-round, never ending and so endlessly boring. Still, the nternet is in my blood and I keep looking for one that will engage my attention and make me feel good and productive with my time on the net.

Mylot is one way of making money while having fun posting on things you care about.

Anyway, here's Cagayan de Oro City with another one: Cagayan de Oro City. My Cebu City site has made pr1, surprise, surprise. Dumaguete is still in the boondocks as far as Google goes but Dumaguete has made some headway. Jai Alexander rocks!

There is always: Ching's Way and Ching's Web along with Ching's Best and Ching's Illusion. Way to go, Ching!

Life

What is life? This is not so difficult to answer when one is young and naive. There seems to be no reason to question what life is all about since one seldom has the chance to stop and ask questions such as this. At the twilight of one's life, one discovers that there has not been much added to the store of knowledge gained after one lifetime.

There are destinations that make it worth your journey. Having arrived at your destination you find that just like Ching's Way, there were more interesting things passed by. Everything could be illusory and Ching's Illusion is just one of those manifestations. All that the Internet can offer could not be made in a page and Ching's Best is just a small way of serving some of the best. The Internet is a web of interconnecting sites and Ching's Web is another one of the excellent ways to connect from one site to the next.

Thoughts of mortality

There were times when my thoughts turned to my own mortality. I had always been afraid of dying as the thought seems completely anathema to the concept of life. As I grew older and as my life turned sour and totally unliveable, my thoughts turned to death. I figured that I could prepare for my next life in the remaining months or years that I would be allowed to exist. This is a stupid thought but I had this and considered it a valid plan of action. When it becomes personal then all philosophy goes out the window and emotions and feelings take over. I did not really want to die, I just thought that death was surely a better alternative to the life that I was living. Nothing could be more absurd as I was soon to realize. Maybe I was just tying to scare the universe into giving me a better deal.

If this life was so lousy, what assurances were there that the next would be better? None. There is a reason why this life is crappy and I should find out and try to live as best I can under my present circumstances. I should not complain and waste my time whining. I realize that thoughts of death are not really so uplifting after all. The Indians talk dying and waiting to die and this might be fine for them but for me, I would rather die with my boots on. There is no success in waiting for failure in the next life.

Creation Theory

I guess there will always be questions about the origins of man and the world he lives in. This is necessary I think because man will think about these things at some point in his life. He will turn to his parents and elders and books for answers which he cannot find inside himself. If he is one of those lucky ones who are able to introspect hard enough and long enough he might find some interesting tidbits of information in his mind that would explain this origins and he might begin to teach about that. Would he be considered a prophet or a crank? That would depend on how convincing he is. If he is persuasive enough and has wits about him, he might be able to browbeat others into adopting his ideas. If he gets the ear of a strong man like a warrior-king then, his job gets easier.

If we look closely, the spread of the major religions came about dramatically when a sponsor, a king or a warlord, embraced the tenets and belief-system of these religions and made these official. Christianity spread like wildfire when Constantine, king of Rome and Constantinople decided, at the behest of his mother, to make Christianity the official religion of the Roman empire. The same is true of Islam which needed that tribes and cities had to be defeated in battle before it could be adopted by nomadic tribes which had their own brand of religion. King Ashok of India caused the spread of Buddhism not just in his kingdom but in other countries as well.

Creating Ching's World

I digress a little and talk about creating Ching's World. It's not really much of a digression as it is part of my own consciousness and certainly merits some mention. Ching's World is a state of mind, a reflection of a view that speaks in its pages. The world as seen in the pages of Ching's World is a small portion of the vast cosmos. Deemed to be beautiful and fragile, this world needs to be protected from lack of care and concern.

The world needs to be cared for and it is not just the environment as everyone is saying. The world needs to be concerned with its people too, not just the young and the beautiful but also the ordinary-looking and unexceptional in achievement. Ching's World is not just about places but also about the people that live in those places.
