Creation Theory

I guess there will always be questions about the origins of man and the world he lives in. This is necessary I think because man will think about these things at some point in his life. He will turn to his parents and elders and books for answers which he cannot find inside himself. If he is one of those lucky ones who are able to introspect hard enough and long enough he might find some interesting tidbits of information in his mind that would explain this origins and he might begin to teach about that. Would he be considered a prophet or a crank? That would depend on how convincing he is. If he is persuasive enough and has wits about him, he might be able to browbeat others into adopting his ideas. If he gets the ear of a strong man like a warrior-king then, his job gets easier.

If we look closely, the spread of the major religions came about dramatically when a sponsor, a king or a warlord, embraced the tenets and belief-system of these religions and made these official. Christianity spread like wildfire when Constantine, king of Rome and Constantinople decided, at the behest of his mother, to make Christianity the official religion of the Roman empire. The same is true of Islam which needed that tribes and cities had to be defeated in battle before it could be adopted by nomadic tribes which had their own brand of religion. King Ashok of India caused the spread of Buddhism not just in his kingdom but in other countries as well.
